Does anyone know if Dutasteride is being evaluated for hair loss by the FDA?

Question:
Does anyone know if Dutasteride is being evaluated for hair loss by the FDA? I had heard a few years ago that the Phase III trials were stopped by the manufacturer? Has anything changed? I know that dutasteride is already being sold for prostate enlargement but trying to get a doctor to prescribe off-label seems difficult. I guess since there is no official prescribing information it kind of puts them out on a limb a bit.

Answer:
Dutasteride i hear its been re-named to desasteride.
