Question:
here's my situation: i just turned 22, and since i was
18 and became sexually active, i have had consistent, and and increasing
difficulty achieving a suitable erection. i can remember being with girls and
engaging in "heavy petting-" oral and everything- before 18, and having
rock-hard erections. however, since my first experience witrh intercourse, i
have had trouble getting a good solid hardon to the point that this is now the
norm, and achieving an erection hard enough for penetration is the joyous
exception to the rule. i have been to 2 urologists both of whom told me that
there is nothing physically wrong with me and they also both gave me viagra,
which makes my erections a little more respectable, but not as hard as they
should be. i don't have hard morning erections anymore either. i ahve never
injured my parts, and i'm in good health and obviously quite young. i am
wondering what in the hell is wrong with me? i know that it can't be mental. my
penis just feels dead, like thgere's no life in it. when i masturbate, i still
get weak erections and it goes flaccid as soon as i cease stimulation. the only
time my penis is rock hard like it used to be is the moment right before i
orgasm. but by then, i'm way past the point of no return. please help me! i am
an attractive young man, and have no trouble getting dates, and i am seeing a
beautiful girl who is crazy about me and i can't let this physical abnormality
ruin it. help please!
Answer:
Your post rings very true with me, even though we have some
differences. I'm a 41 year old male, and have been suffering from
impotence (excuse me for not using the phrase popularized by Bob Dole,
E.D., because this is something serious and painful enough it should
not be diluted with political correctness, in my humble opinion) for
many years. I feel as though my penis is a limp, lifeless,
purposeless appendage. In the rare instance when I CAN get an
erection, it almost immediately becomes flaccid as soon as I
penetrate. Since the introduction of Viagra, I'm afraid that's often
considered the "magic pill" for any man suffering from any type of
erectile dysfunction. It has helped me (the higher 100 mg. dosage) to
only a small degree. I am now using Androgel, recently updated to
twice the normal or starting dosage (two packets applied daily), but I
have yet to experience any results with that. I cannot remember the
last time I woke up with an erection, and I would give anything to
return to those days when I would get a spontaneous erection at any
time of day, just from the sight of a sexy woman or whatever. I'm new
to this group, and I hope someone out there can help us out.
